‘Alone’ reviewed on ‘A Closer Listen’

A lovely review of my last album has been recently published. It is written by Richard Allen of the beautiful ‘A Closer Listen’ magazine and it is a good and deep review of the tracks and the ‘Home’ video as well. I take the occasion to publicly thank the writer for taking his time and write such a deep description of my work. You can read the full review here.

Live at Q3ambientfest, Potsdam

I am very happy of being finally able to show you the concert I played about a month ago at the Q3ambientfest in Potsdam, Berlin. It has been such a pleasure of being part of this lovely festival along such artists like Martyn Heyne, Anne Müller, Sophie Hutchings, CEEYS, Kimbrae, John Metcalfe, Midori Hirano and many others.

My set, as the others, was about thirthy minutes long so, in case, take your time.

This is the tracklist of the concert:

• Home
• Grazia
• Welcome
• All our days
• You and the stars
• Saliva
• Pluvieux
• Escape
• Moonlit

You can watch the concert here.

Hope you enjoy

This is the new video taken from my forthcoming album ‘Alone (night music for piano solo)’, out on april 11th on Stella Recordings on a first 100 copies limited edition run. Directed by Fiorella Sanna and starring Daniela Saragat, it is an attempt to tell a little story about a person who finds inner peace when reaching outside. But, as all personal and intimate things, it can obviously have other million meanings as well. Hope you like it.

Piano solo tour. Spring 2017

Short stories (spring 2017).jpg

I can now officially announce my new spring tour. It will be a set of six dates (with possibly a few ones to be added) of piano solo concerts. I will have the pleasure of playing in Germany for the very first time, and I will be so happy to return in Japan and play again in Osaka and Tokyo (where I will have a cool opening guest, the extraordinary Hakobune). I will also play in Nara and will finally be able to witness all those deers that in the morning come down from the mountain to the temple and live happily with the people around. Then in may I will have a lovely concert in my town as well. That said, if you are around one of these cities, it would be a great occasion to meet, talk about music and life in general, and maybe have some beers.

I am excited to preview a track from my forthcoming album ‘Short stories. Piano book (volume two)’, which will be released in late 2017 on Home Normal and will feature some nice package treatments. A limited A5 edition featuring the scores is also planned, so stay tuned.

This video, shot by Fiorella Sanna (www.fiorsa.com), features me playing ‘Welcome’ in my home studio. A simple and intimate view, as if you were sitting by my side and listening while I was playing for you.

We can welcome someone to our days, our world, our heart, our home. This is my welcome to you. I hope you enjoy.

‘LEAF’ reviewed on Sound Thread

Sound thread.jpg
Another lovely review on my album ‘Leaf’ has been written by Tom Homulka. To be more precise, it features the deluxe vinyl edition of this album, and it’s a really accurate one. Tom is a music enthusiast, and this is quite evident by the words and care used for every writing on his site. So you should check it, because it’s really worth doing.

Anyway, you can read the review here.
